Triboelectric Nanogenerator Introduction A Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG) is a device that converts mechanical energy (such as vibration, motion, or touch) into electrical energy by using the triboelectric effect and electrostatic induction . This technology was first developed in 2012 by Professor Zhong Lin Wang and his team at the Georgia Institute of Technology . Since its invention, it has attracted global attention for its potential to power self-sustained electronic devices , wearable technologies , and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors.
